Danger - It comes with a WARNING!!

Look. I am not trying to fool you. You are going to get old sometime and that's gonna happen in a fraction of a time frame. You will realize it only when your days are gone. I could hear you saying 'Dude!! Don't speak like my Grandpa, I'm still young'. Yes you can be and will be young unless and until you don't ignore the warning signs that you receive before a danger arrives at you. Most of the dangerous things which happens around you comes with a warning. Be it an earthquake or an accident perhaps.

In case of earthquake, people have got Richter scales which gives you a warning before the danger is supposed to come. Weather agencies tend to report to you whenever the region is going to be affected. If you ignore the warning here, you will have to regret that you've taken a tragic decision in your life by ignoring the warning sign given to you. Well I agree, a warning sign is not given to you in all the cases. But one cannot ignore the warning he gets as and when.

Let me explain it with a simple example. TEETH. How many of you have heard of stories told to you by the people who've lost their teeth and even more serious issues for ignoring the warning signs like jaw pain, bleeding gum, bad breath, irregular mumps or patches in mouth, facial muscle pain, sleep disruption, ear ache? But when you get one of those, you still ignore it just because you're young. Aren't you? Just a problem in your teeth can be a symptom of serious conditions like heart attacks, dental abscess, tooth decay etc. Let's read on to know more about the symptoms and causes of diseases around your most valuable and precious Teeth.

Jaw Pain:

Jaw pain or mouth pain are often and most probably the signs of stress along with few other symptoms like cold sores. The stress which is caused due to this pain can often lead to numerous mental and physical disorders. If you are not sure about your jaw discomfort, it is always advisable to contact a dentist who would be able to help you out. While in most of the cases, it is often caused by treatable conditions like gum disease or sinus problems. Jaw pain can be a symptom of heart attack as well. Knowing this symptom, can help you save you or loved ones from trouble.

Bleeding Gums:

Gums that bleed or sore may be a cause of gum disease which is already worse. These diseases are generally severe in people who've already got conditions like diabetes which tends to reduce the power of immunity in a body. These kind of diseases also puts your gum in serious risk, due to the bacteria which stays in there.

Change in color of teeth:

Tooth Enamel Loss otherwise known as dental erosion, is one of the serious issue because once it's lost, you can't get it back again whatsoever. Change in color of the teeth along with tips of teeth being whiter than rest, teeth becoming round in appearance, tooth sensitive issues are considered to be the symptoms of tooth enamel loss. If you don't get it treated down immediately, it can lead to tooth decay and eventually expensive surgical procedures for your teeth. Contacting your dentist earlier when you get those above mentioned symptoms can help you save your teeth from enamel loss.

Facial Muscle Pain and Sleep Disruption:

Teeth grinding otherwise known as bruxism can cause various symptoms like head aches, ear aches, stiffness in shoulders, sleep disruption, facial muscle pain and pain in jaw joint. People who grind their teeth often might face these symptoms earlier in their life. If you find your teeth becoming worn because of continuous grinding over a period of time, then it's time to consult your dentist before it can lead to serious conditions like dental abscess and other such serious infections.

Bad Breath:

Bad breath can be a result of drinks or food you consume every day. However dental diseases like gingivitis can also be a cause of bad breath. Bad breath otherwise known as halitosis is becoming a common problem for all sets of people regardless of their gender and age. Though you might try several home remedies for bad breath, it's important to concentrate on your oral hygiene. People who suffer from gingivitis should brush their teeth at least twice or thrice in day with gum health improving tooth pastes like Colgate Total or something preferred only by your dentist based on your dental health conditions.  Flossing your teeth along with rinsing with a mouth wash is also preferred for these type of dental conditions.

The increase in number of tooth loss among adults in India is on rise. Adults with not proper oral hygiene habits are likely to face one of the above symptoms some time early in their life. Along with proper oral hygiene habits, visiting dentist once in six months to check out dental conditions are also advisable. Also please refer to this amazing blog MyHealthySpeak by ColgateTotal to get an idea on different teeth related conditions and cure.

Ignoring the warning signs and not having proper oral hygiene habits can only lead to expensive surgical procedures resulting in your physical and mental distress. Danger comes with a WARNING here. As they say, prevention is always better than cure.
